Steven Abreu-Hill is the owner and principal consultant of Aviation Safety Advisors. Steven is a FAA Licensed Aircraft dispatcher and has over 18 years of combined experience in Research and Development in Aviation Safety, Aviation Security, Safety Management Systems Implementation, Severe Weather Forecasting, Aviation Weather Forecasting, Ground Handling, Airline and Safety Auditing and Contingency Planning.
Steven has served in key roles in aviation and meteorology and has been responsible for providing professional weather forecasts to General and Corporate Aviation, energy, oil and gas, and retail industries. In his most recent experience in corporate aviation, Steven has been instrumental in providing direct support in the development, implementation and management of Aviation Safety Management Systems, Severe Weather & Hurricane Emergency Response Plans, including business continuity recovery measures to flight, departments, FBO's and crisis management teams and other industry aviation professionals.
A graduate from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Steven holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Applied Meteorology and a Master of Science in Aeronautics with specializations in safety and aviation management.
Steven is fluent in Spanish and English, is an NATA Safety 1st Certified Trainer, NATA Safety 1st Professional Line Service Technician, IATA Dangerous Goods Handling and Dangerous Goods Handling Trainer and holds a certificate in Aviation Safety Management Systems from the University of Southern California; Los Angeles. Steven is also an accredited ground safety auditor and accredited IS-BAH auditor. He also holds a certification from Exxon Mobil Corporation on Hazard and Risk Assessment and other Industrial Health and Safety accreditations from the US OSHA (Occupational Health & Safety Administration).
